I've been busy putting together my new home office. I found this great solid oak desk with a drawer for just $40. The finish has turned a bit orange, so I am going to paint it a very deep charcoly blue.

Here is my dresser all painted with new hardware. I put glass knobs on the first drawer, and silver on the others to make it more cost effective.

This is a great pair of lamps I recently purchased on a trip to Winners Homesense, for $50.00/lamp. These are super heavy glass lamps, they are definitely one of my favorite things!

Half of the stuff in my house came from Winners, I can't say enough about this place, great prices and great variety...just talking about it makes me want to go shopping!

So I found this basket at Frenchy's (second hand store) for $2.50

I added some bags from the recycling, so I wouldn't have to use so much spanish moss

 I found these marble eggs (very heavy) at Frenchy's last year for $1.50 for 5!!

 

 

 

Then I put them in the basket! who said you couldn't put all your eggs in the same basket? :)

Doing a bit of Spring/ Easter decorating. Mr. Bunny came from Winners and cashed in at only $12.00 and the little blue candles holders in the front came from a yardsale- 3/$1.00. The potted grasses came from the Super Store and were $10.00 a piece. These prices sure do put a spring in my step!

Easter egg nests

I wanted to make something for my diningroom table that was an Easter/Spring theme. So off to the dollar store I went, and found some sprigs of blue eggs with nests. I added the nests to spaghnum moss on the bottom of some candle holders I already had..... I'm egg-static about it :)

Magazine Rack finished

So here is the anchor magazine rack in my livingroom. It's the perfect size to fit beside this chair. I love nautical finds!

Wicker Rocker Update: Before and After

I love these kinds of easy projects. This chair had been at my husband's family Lake cottage, and I simply found some inexpensive fabric and covered the seat cushion, and sewed some cushions for the back!~ viola, brand new comfy chair :)
