Livingroom

So These are all before shots of the livingroom. I had painted it blue, but quickly found it was too dark and felt cold. I decided to paint it "greige" as I had some left over from a hallway project, and loved the way it tuned out. This room is totally different now, can't wait to share the pics soon !

Livingroom After

I wanted the livingroom to have a beachy vibe, that was a bit elegant as well. So I choose this palette for the furniture.

I painted my coffee table and end tables black and added new silver hardware.

I choose these curtains (a great Sears find) which match the wall color and mimics the pattern on the sofa pillows.

Here is the other end table, with the great pair of lamps I scored at Winners Homesense for $30.00 a piece!!

I styled the coffee table with some of my favorite things, this is a great way to display my favorite items, and change it up seasonally.

This is my boat shelf that my very handy and skilled carpentar brother built. I painted it white, much to his fright!

I bought this pine book shelf on kijiji for $90.00 and painted it white (same color as the trim in the house).

We had some cast off old pieces of furniture from the lake. We took the mirror off the dresser and sanded it down.

The I painted the dresser and added new hardware. Now it's a great TV stand, and has tons of storage for our stuff.

I found this great little mirrored table at Winners homesense (noticing a trend?) it's the pefect size to put next to the chair.

This is our take on the gallery wall. I painted frames I already had black, for a more unified look.

                                                           How it all fits together!

My new comfy chair! I love this linen color, it will go with everyone, and is comfy and stylish!

Here's a shor of the finished product! I love it, but am working on a solution to the blank space around the fireplace.

My comfy sofa with some pretty blue pillows (wicker emporium and lazy boy furniture) and a nice soft throw (winners homesense)!

Another view of the finished product, since I took the picture I have added some nautical themed throw pillows, I'll post them soon!

Here are my new nautical themed pillows! as always from Winners Homesense!

  2. Wow your living room turned out great. I especially like the repurposed dresser. That was a great idea.
